  • “Services” refers to weighing equipment sales, repairs, calibration, maintenance, and related support.
  • “Products” refers to weighing scales, components, accessories, and any equipment supplied by Clover Scales.

3. Use of the Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems
  • Use the website in a way that may damage or impair its functionality

4. Quotations & Pricing

  • All quotations are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices exclude VAT unless specified.
  • Pricing may change due to supplier increases, exchange rate fluctuations, or stock availability.
  • Clover Scales reserves the right to correct pricing errors.

5. Orders & Payment

  • Orders are only processed once written confirmation is received.
  • Payment terms will be stated on the quotation or invoice.
  • Ownership of goods remains with Clover Scales until full payment is received.
  • Late payments may incur interest as permitted by South African law.

6. Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on stock, location, and courier availability.
  • Risk passes to the client upon delivery or collection.
  • Clients must inspect goods upon receipt and report issues within 48 hours.

7. Repairs, Calibration & Service Work

  • All service work is performed according to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Clients must disclose any faults, damage, or modifications prior to service.
  • Clover Scales is not responsible for additional faults discovered during repair.
  • Calibration certificates are issued based on the condition of the equipment at the time of testing.

8. Warranties

8.1 Product Warranties

  • Products may carry a manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Warranty terms vary by product and supplier.
  • Warranty does not cover misuse, negligence, unauthorised repairs, or physical damage.

8.2 Service Warranties

  • Service work is warranted for workmanship only, not for future equipment failure.

9. Returns & Refunds

  • Returns are accepted only with prior written approval.
  • Products must be unused, in original packaging, and returned within 7 days.
  • Special‑order or customised items are non‑returnable.
  • Refunds are processed after inspection and may exclude handling or courier fees.

10. Limitation of Liability

Clover Scales is not liable for:

  • Loss of income, business interruption, or consequential damages
  • Damage caused by improper use, installation, or maintenance
  • Losses arising from delays, courier issues, or third‑party service providers

Our total liability will not exceed the value of the product or service supplied.
